Cisco U. - Learn everyday

This is a commercial to promote Cisco Systems’ new digital e-learning platform called Cisco U. For this commercial, I wrote the script, made the music, shot all footage, and edited the video. I also implemented screen tracking on all screens seen in this video, which allowed me to insert any screen recordings that Cisco wanted.

Cyber Monday 2023 Promotional Video

The Cisco Learning Network Store is a department of Cisco that focuses on selling training to help users learn the technological concepts they need to get Cisco certified. I created a video to promote their Cyber Monday sale. For this video, I recorded and edited the voice over content, animated the graphics and text, recorded the user interfaces shown, and created the music.


Sticks and Stone Promo

I made a video to promote a local mobile wood-fired pizza business called Sticks and Stone to show off their process and their delicious gourmet pizza.


Contact High: A Visual History of Hip-Hop

I had the great opportunity to work with a writer name Vikki Tobak, who wrote a book about the evolution of hip-hop and the untold stories of the photographers behind the cameras. I collaborated with Vikki to make a series of videos to promote this book, and this is a 30 second version.

Contact High: Visualizing Malcolm X with Photographer Eve Arnold

In 1960, LIFE magazine assigned photographer Eve Arnold to document Malcolm X. She spent more than a year following Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam movement around the United States from Washington to New York to Chicago. She produced some of the most well known images of the man who has had an undeniable impact on hip hop, his legacy interwoven into the fabric of urban culture and the hip hop generation.

In July of 1968, Photographer Stephen Shames documented the Black Panthers at a Free Huey rally in DeFremery Park in west Oakland. The iconic photos Shames captured here formed the image of the Black Panthers.

The Missing Men

(In Production) The Missing Men is a feature documentary about time, the hopes and struggles of ex-offenders, and the lethal intersection between race and the criminal justice system, 30 years in the making.

 


Nocturne

(Narrative Short) Nocturne captures the essence of a college party with the complex relationships that occur when a group of people are thrown together, having very little common with one another.

Using substances to escape the boredom of partying, this group of five friends go through one night of exploring what kind of person each is, deep down, with masks removed.


Death and the Robot

A stop-motion animated film about a Robot who finds friendship in an unlikely place, amidst a dying world. For this film, I did the sound design and mixing.

Sacrificial Poets

(Documentary Short) This is a story about a group called the Sacrificial Poets, and their journey to Egypt during the Arab Spring. 

The Sacrificial Poets’ mission is to use the spoken and written word to activate, nurture, and amplify youth voices through creative expression, self-exploration, and the cultivation of safe spaces. Their goal is to elevate a lasting youth arts movement that builds community and reaches across lines of difference to provide all youth a space to feel welcome, be heard, foster strong relation ships, and become voices of change.


Polovtsian Dance COMMERCIAL

This is a commercial for a television dance feature in North Carolina called Polovtsian Dances by Susan Jaffe.


Forsyth Humane Society Homepage Video

My colleague and I shot this video together for the Forsyth Humane Society so that they could use it on their website’s homepage. I also did the editing for this project. We also created multiple other videos for FHS, including social media promotional content, and informative explainer videos for individuals who have just adopted an animal from this shelter.


Tenuous

(Narrative Short) Two sisters find themselves in similar situations and only one way to deal with it. Taking matters into their own hands could be the only way to change their lives.
